June 2020 Global Investment Summary

Globally, markets performed well as economies reopened and economic activity started to pick up. Equity markets are certainly demonstrating more of a ‘V-shaped recovery’ given central bank and government stimulus and expectations of a reasonable economic bounce in the second half of the year that should feed into company earnings.
This despite the sobering economic assessments from the Fed, World Bank, and IMF during the month in which expectations for global growth were slashed. Central banks remain wary of potential risks and are continuing to increase their support to the wider economy.
